The Lydia Center at Grace Plateau

The Lydia Center is located on a beautiful 152-acre property in Wrightsville, PA known as Grace Plateau. Through funds provided by a capital campaign, this formerly vacant property was purchased in 2002 and dedicated to meeting the needs of "the least, the last, and the lost." The first resident entered our doors that same year.

The Program:

The mountain-top location provides a secluded and peaceful home to Lydia Center residents -- women of all ages who desire life change. Bible studies, classes, and mentor relationships help women address the issues in their lives that have inhibited them from becoming all that God desires.

The Ladies:

Our residents come from many different areas, as the Lydia Center offers a very unique opportunity. Many find the Lydia Center by first experiencing the Women's Ministry at the Mission's South Prince Street campus. Others find the Lydia Center after prison, and still others through friends, family members, or church. Many of our ladies have experienced abuse or addiction to drugs and/or alcohol. Whatever the past, these ladies need to know that God loves them, has a purpose for them, and wants to help them every step of the way.

The Facilities:

The main lodge houses the dining hall, a Learning Center, a children’s room, classrooms, prayer room, art room, and a great room complete with stone fireplace.

Six cottages serve as residential housing. Each has four motel-style bedrooms with private baths, a common kitchen, and a shared living area for fellowship and times of relaxation.
